The life of St. Clare’s congregation started in 1994 when a group of people from Holy Trinity and St. Mary & St. Francis formed a worshipping community in the Dingle Community Centre. This venture built on the pioneering work started several years before through the establishment of a Sunday School on the estate, reaching out to the children of the young families in the area.

These initiatives have led to the presence of a community, spanning all ages, who gather to celebrate the sacraments and care for each other. The informal atmosphere of our setting, the style of our worship together and the nature of our caring for each other, has led to the growth of St. Clare’s.

Children have been an important part of St. Clare’s outreach from the onset. Their fun, growth and worship experience are an important focus in the life of St. Clare’s. This is illustrated in the provision of age appropriate instruction and activities, opportunities to be involved in the worship services and the family outings, which are organised throughout the year.

On the first Sunday of each month we offer an act of worship called “THE KINGS ARMS”. This service starts at 11am and lasts for about 45 minutes. the theme and message of each service is particularly sensitive to those who are seeking to explore and understand more about the Christian faith.
